While their parents were in Oxford and Amsterdam, Gilly and I looked after our grandchildren for 9 days. The star outing was a visit to Legoland at Windsor with Andrew and Jane and their daughter Emily. Despite torrential rain, we all had a great time. In fact the rain kept a lot of the normal crowds away and we were able to go on all the rides without queueing, but acquiring very wet botties in the process.
